IT Managed Service Transition Leadership

Challenge:

To provide strong program leadership to shape and oversee the smooth transition of a strategic out-sourcing deal for one of Ireland’s largest Energy providers, transitioning from an incumbent supplier to a new IT Managed Service deal.

• Hand-on development of transition roadmap and setting up robust governance and controls to transition to the new £multi-million 5+ year outsourced IT Managed Service
• Leadership across six workstreams, a large project team, suppliers and a complex myriad of senior business stakeholders to ensure a smooth and timely transition
• Guidance on the design and implementation of a BAU new target operating model and new ways of working to ensure the value and benefits from the deal can be realized

Results:

• The key outcomes were achieved, including a new data centre and corporate IT network, enhanced IT security solutions and a new Service Management solution.
• A new operating model and improved ways of working, with multiple business benefits being realized including refined service
  levels now aligned to business needs, better cybersecurity protection and improved IT performance, efficiencies and value.
